About Rosie and Lucky ~ Bichon Frise, pair(trial 17/7/16
Hey there! We are Rosie (8 yrs) and Lucky (15yrs) Bichon Frise dogs. We are inseparable but both of us are ready to show you love and affection. We are both great with other dogs but may suit a family without others so that we can get the attention we deserve. We are very friendly around new people and want to be around the action in the home; however we are happy to chill out and sleep. We do most things together including sleep and we do like to sleep on our mum’s bed if invited; we may have been well loved over the years.
A little about Rosie: Rosie is a free loving young lady whose zest for life is contagious. She looks after her friend Lucky and helps to lead him into different activities. She is very beautiful and knows it and she loves showing off at any opportunity. She loves to be cuddled and like all ladies adores the pampering of a grooming session. Rosie must be right next to you or on top of you if you’ll let her. She loves people and any kind of attention is just great. She loves going for a walk and happy to just walk right next to you but looks back to ensure that Lucky is not too far away.
A little about Lucky: Lucky is a mature gentleman who still revels in learning new things. He's learnt to go up and down stairs while in care. He is a little unsure when he meets new people so he might initially bark. He prefers a proper greeting before charging in to pat him. This is due to his age related diminished eyesight. Once he knows you he loves being tickled under his chin and throat and will often roll over to have his tummy rubbed. He is devoted to his companion Rosie.
A note from their carer: These dogs are just beautiful, loved and loving dogs. They get along very well, each relying n the other’s strengths. Rose leads Lucky due to his eyes, and Lucky tries to teach his reservedness to Rosie. Both dogs love going out for a drive and travel really well. Oh, and don’t forget to stop at the coffee shop so they can meet some new friends!
They have a curly coat that doesn’t shed (one of the best breeds for allergy sufferers). They often share bowls of food together and have never shown any aggression towards any of their foster brothers and sisters which there are a few. They currently live with 4 other dogs, big (45kg) and small (9kg).
Lucky and Rosie must be adopted together because they have been together for so long. If you are looking for 2 quiet, well behaved and relaxed additions to your home who will show you lots of affection please call Jackie on 0407 807 733 to arrange to meet this pair. They are in Shoal Bay, Port Stephens NSW (north of Newcastle).
Rosie and Lucky's adoption fee is $200 for the pair. They are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
