About Iris ~ 2yo Staffy x (On Trial 11/5/16)
Meet Iris, an adorable 2 year old Staffy x. She is a happy, healthy and playful dog. Iris is one girl with a seriously sweet nature. Being fit, active and happy, Iris would make a perfect companion for a young family, as she loves playing with children.
Although Iris is learning basic commands such as, sit, bed and stay and learning to walk on a lead, she still needs a little more training. However, she is very responsive and eager to learn; a very well-behaved girl. She has picked up sit quite quickly. She is also sitting and waiting for her food until receiving the command to eat. Walking on a lead is a work in progress and has improved quite a bit. Even though she does still try and pull every now and then, especially when she gets a bit excited, but she's progressing really well, really quickly. Learning to bring back in a game of fetch is a work in progress, but Iris is a quick learner and should get the idea with a little more practice.
Iris especially loves nothing more than her human companions and is very gentle and quiet around young children. All in all, she is the perfect doggy package for many family situations.
With her easy care, smooth coat that can easily be cared for with just a bath and the occasional brushing, Iris is very low maintenance. Iris would be happy as an only dog given plenty of love, attention and exercise, but wouldn’t mind sharing the love with other animals in the home. Having said that, Iris is quite happy just to be loved and to receive the attention she so deserves.

Iris is de-sexed, vaccinated, free of fleas and worms, microchipped and lifetime registered. Her adoption fee is $350.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
