About Bette ~ English Staffy, 1yo (On Trial 17/2/16)
Meet little Bette, she is a 12 month old English Staffy. This beautiful baby is so small even the vet said she had never seen a Staffy so small before. She looks more like a Tasmanian devil then a Staffy!
This special little lady needs a special home with someone with lots of love to give a little dog who finds the world I bit scary but has so much love to give to her special someone.
Bette will not need a big a yard as she is so small as long as she has toys and a little walk she will be happy.
Bette needs to be an inside dog with access outside, ideally through a doggy door. She is getting better at walking on the lead but will still need work as she gets a bit scared. She is great with cats and other dogs. She isn't very good with having to compete for attention and tends to disappear into the background if there is a lot going on.
Bette loves children and she is good at being a little kid's play mate. My children have her in the cubby house and play tea party with her.
For more information or to meet Bette, please contact her foster carer Kelly on 0430 549 685 or email kel_wjl@hotmail.com. Bette is in foster care in Tanilba Bay, NSW (Port Stephens, 20 minutes north of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Bette's adoption fee is $350 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
