Diego is the definition of a gentle giant.
He loves nothing more than human company. His favorite thing to do when you're not home is sleep. He loves sleeping in weird and wonderful positions. He loves his walk but will always sleep for hours after.
Diago is a handsome boy with lots of love to give. He is socialised around other dogs, cats, horses, pigs, chicken, geese and children.
He is toilet trained and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, down. He does not snatch food from anyone.
Diago is an adaptable dog. He travels from Brisbane to Gatton frequently and is an absolute darling in the car. He loves coming to Uni, it's a solid 6 hours of sleeping.
As much as he loves humans, he doesn't cry when you leave. He is happy to just have a nap and wait till you return.
He would another sibling but can be an only dog too.

As we rely on our foster carers (who are all volunteers and have families, jobs and pets of their own) to help with adoptions it may take a couple of days to organise for you to meet a dog once you have submitted your adoption application. We appreciate your understanding and patience with us while we work with you to ensure the perfect match for your family.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
**Please note that all paperwork including the Microchip Change of owner form will be handed over after the 10 day trial period.**
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
