About Bruce ~ Bull Arab ~ Puppy (On Trial 29/2/16)
Bruce (Bruiser) turned 15 weeks old on 3/2/16, and he is a beautiful Bull Arab x German Shorthaired Pointer, boy. He is a lovely little goof ball, and that is not meant in a nasty way at all. Just wait till you meet him. Bruce just wants to love and be loved in return, but he can be a bit much for small or timid children. He would be better suited to a family with kids who are stable on their feet and can handle his romping around.
Bruce knows his name and will come when called. He will sit, and is also pretty good on lead. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Bruce came into as an unwanted Christmas present. Things did not work out for poor Bruce, as the children were better suited to a smaller dog. It is extremely important that this time around he finds a home where his size has been taken into account to prevent this from happening again.
Bruce has been in care with another puppy and dog and they all get along with no problems at all - even at feeding time. He is easily occupied with just a bone to chew on and you will not hear anything out of him until it is gone.
For more information or to meet Bruce, please contact his foster carer Josh by phone 0457 338 511 or email jrgarven@hotmail.com. Bruce is in foster care in Weston, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Bruce's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
