About Blaze
Blaze is the quiet boy of the litter he does love attention but needs time to come out of his shell when first meeting new people. For this reason he would probably be best suited to a family with no children or older children who can understand he is a little shy. He does enjoy the company of his siblings here at the shelter but will need to meet any prospective doggy housemates prior to adoption so if you already have a dog and you are thinking of adopting Blaze please bring your dog along to the shelter to meet him so we can see how they interact. He should be introduced to any other pets in the household slowly and under supervision.
Blaze is still learning to walk on a lead but will need a daily walk along with interactive playtime such as teaching him to play fetch. Puppy school would be very beneficial for Blaze not only to learn to follow basic commands but to also socialise with the other puppies and people and build his confidence.
To ensure Blaze is kept secure he will need a large yard which has colourbond fences and gates that are at least 5ft high and in good condition with no gaps or footholes.
Blaze has been fed Hills Science Diet- Puppy Large Breed during his stay at the shelter and we strongly recommend he continues on this diet in his new home as it is ideal for his healthy growth and development.
