Obi *Adoption Pending*

Meet Obi!! Named with a little Star Wars flare, this gorgeous man will melt your heart with his big puppy dog eyes and endless kisses. He is destined to be a large dog with his gangly paws, but he is incredibly affectionate, playful and just loves having company. He is a little shadow who, though he doesn't get upset when you leave him, will always try and stay close by if you are home. We say he's just trying to help.

Obi is a quick learner and at just 12 weeks (he is smaller than he looks in pictures!) is already sitting like a pro, learning to lie down, is toilet trained to go outside when he needs to, and crate trained to sleep right through the night (with excellent bladder control for his age). He is very motivated by food and treats and loves social praise so is easy to train.

Though Obi isn't quite old enough to go out on proper walks yet, he doesn't pull on his lead and is comfortable wearing his collar now and also a harness in the car, when he likes to just lie down and sleep. In fact, he loves his naps! The comfier the surface the better, or if it's a hot day you'll find him on the tiles or taking time out sleeping under the couch.

One of the best things about having Obi with us has been seeing him come out of his shell and both learn and love to play. When he arrived from Rockhampton Pound we were warned that Obi was incredibly shy and scared of other dogs, but in no time at all he has made great friends with his new foster brother (who can be a bit of a boisterous Border Collie when he wants to play) and they just love to roll around playing, wrestling or playing tug-o-war with their toys. They keep each other great company during the day and have side by side naps after a big play.

Obi would love to find a forever family with another dog to play with, but he has also met babies and children and would make a great family pet too. Obi is a truly beautiful dog with a gentle, loving and fun nature and his foster family will definitely be sad to see him go. But this little man has so much love to give that he needs to find his forever home, and a great one at that! He will be a loyal dog for the lucky family that finds him and he is trained and ready to go with nothing but love to give!
