Zoe ~ Terrier X (on trial 7/2/2016)

Hi everybody my names ZOE and I’m a small Terrier cross. I’m a bouncy puppy who is approximately 8-12 months old and I’m looking for my very own forever family. I am small and super playful - I enjoy playing with toys and balls of all kinds. I also love running up and down the yard with my foster fur sisters and tackling them in a game of chasings.

I love water a lot and I enjoy playing with toys in my clam pool. I enjoy digging in the water in the clam pool - it’s my best game ever. I sometimes forget that my water bowls aren’t swimming pools so I dig the water out of those too – whoops! So you’ll need to remember to keep plenty of bowls around for me and top them up so I can remember to have a drink once I’ve finished playing. If you live near a lake then I’d love to go walking with you and splash in the water there too!

I currently sleep in the bed with my foster mum and my 4 foster fur sisters - I do enjoy cuddles and I’m calmer if I can sleep in the bed or next to the bed near you. I’m still only a young and social girl so I don’t like being left alone. In my forever home I would prefer someone who works from home or is home a lot as I like attention too much to be alone in the yard whilst you work. I love other dogs so if you have another active friendly dog just like me I would be in heaven as we could run around the yard together. I need secure fencing as I’m very fast running around the yard, so there can’t be any gaps that I slip through. I am best with children above the age of 12 as I’m too excitable for little kids. I would benefit from an active family who will take me walking once or twice daily and include me as part of their active lifestyle.

I have been doing some home training with my foster mum which is going well – as with all young dogs I would benefit doing some puppy school and extra training with my new family. I’m almost completely toilet trained which I’m proud of as I haven’t been in foster care very long. I’m scared of thunder storms but I do settle with cuddles from my foster mum (yes I’m very clever as I love cuddles!). I’ve been practicing to walk nicely on the lead, I was scared of the harness and lead at first but with positive reinforcement and a healthy dose of treats I’m making great progress. Did I mention I love treats?

My foster mum has an indoor cat which I have looked at a couple of times but I’m a little afraid of her. So I keep my distance as I’m not quite sure what to make of this kitty. I’m in foster care with 4 other small female dogs of various ages and I enjoy their company immensely (especially the ones that play with me!)

I have a scruffy coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every couple of months) to keep me comfortable and looking beautiful. And I am beautiful as everyone tells me so!
