About Kenya
Kenya is a typical young pup full of energy and keen to explore.
Kenya would suit a home with another young active male companion to keep her company. Or possibly as an only dog if her new family are home a lot and will be able to include her in daily life.
She's an extremely affectionate girl and can be motivation by praise rather than food which is rare for usually indepenant Husky!
Whilst she is active she also loves nothing more than to cuddle up on the couch with you when the day is done. You'll notice that almost ALL of her photos are snuggling on the couch, and that pretty much reflects how much she wants to be by your side.
She will need daily exercise and ideally her furever home will be able to attend a local group obedience course to help polish her manners outside the home.
Unfortunately Kenya has had very little time put into her in the past and is currently learning the ins and outs of manners whilst in foster care. She's made HUGE progress and is a really nice member of the household now, her new owners will need to be consistent with this whilst settling her into the new home.
Due to her exuberant behaviour she is not suited to a home with children or elderly at this stage.
Kenya needs an owner experienced with large or arctic breeds as she will push the boundaries to see what she can get away with. She's of an age where she will test the waters and her new owners need to be able to steer her on the right path to ensure she reaches her full potential. Left without boundaries a young husky will become a difficult dog to own. But with good leadership and an owner who really 'gets' the breed Kenya will flourish.
Kenya will need a home without cats, chicken or pocket pets.
