Hugh ~ Wolfhound x (on trial 28/02/16)

We’re pleased to introduce the very handsome Hugh. Hugh is an Irish wolfhound, and he is a BIG boy. He has quite a regal bearing, definitely stands out in a crowd, and he is blessed with a lovely temperament.

Hugh is only quite young – about 18 months old. He likes to be with other dogs and is happy to play and run around having fun, but he settles quickly when other dogs aren’t around. He still gets excited in puppy kind of ways, and would benefit from some more training; as you would expect he is a powerful dog, but he is eager to please, and it would be good for him to learn to walk at his new owner’s pace when on the lead. He has learnt to sit and wait for his dinner until he is allowed to start eating.

Hugh would be fine in a home with children, providing they were older children who could deal with his size. He loves people, and just wants to be part of things and to be loved. He would make a good inside-outside dog so long as he was given appropriate time and attention, and could also be homed to a family without another dog so long as he wasn’t left alone for long periods and so long as he was a part of the family.

Hugh is located near Raymond Terrace, and only 10 -15 minutes from the end of the M1 coming up from Sydney.
