About Tikka ~ Mastiff x puppy, male (On trial 13/3/16)_
Tikka: 16 week old Mastiff. Meet Tikka – an adorable, happy, healthy and playful boy who has a very independent nature. Not much is known about Tikka’s early life; only that he was left at the local pound with his brother, Dude.
Being a very friendly, active and happy boy who just loves everybody, Tikka would make a perfect companion for a young family, as he also loves playing with children. Tikka gets along very well with all the animals in his present household and, as his foster mum is a carer to another litter of very young, he has many canine friends.
Although Tikka is learning basic commands such as, sit, bed and stay, and learning to walk on a lead, he is still in training. However, he is very responsive and eager to learn and will soon be a very well-behaved boy, even though he needs to learn some manners at meal times.
With his smooth coat that can easily be cared for with just a bath and the occasional brushing, Tikka is very low maintenance. Tikka would be happy as an only dog given plenty of love, attention and exercise, but wouldn’t mind sharing this love with other animals in the home.
As a dog with a great deal of energy, Tikka needs to be with an active family and have the opportunity for lots of walks and exercise in a stimulating environment.
If you feel you can provide this super sweet boy with a loving, permanent home, please contact Nora on or 0418 402 150 or email: drnmudgeebranch@yahoo.com. Tikka is in foster care in Mudgee, NSW.
Tikka is vaccinated, free of fleas and worms and microchipped. He will be desexed when he is old enough (aroung 5 months old) and the cost of this is covered by his $350 adoption fee.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
