About Holly
Maltese dogs are very loyal and loving companions, they love to be at their owners side.
Holly was impounded after being found along side a road in a country town. Her fur was extremely matted and she was very skinny. Holly is shy around new people but super friendly once shes had a cuddle....she gives licks n wags her tail.Holly loves chasing her ball, and loves to run round the garden :)
Holly hasnt been on a lead, it scares her....but her carers are working on building her confidence in this area.
Holly has some eyesight issues, she can see ok most of the time but when chasing her ball it is easiest when things move. For this reason potential new families are encouraged to consider this particular issue. Holly relies on her hearing a lot to locate things...and she can be easily startled...which may lead to her growling or nipping if she is frightened.
Remember she has had a rough life so it will take time and require a patient person to build her confidence back up.
We recommend a child-free home due to her issues, possibly as an only dog as well.
Medical notes
Holly has had several teeth removed due to bad diet in her past.
Holly tested negative for heartworm.
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website http://www.radarescue.org/online-application-form
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within one week of the adoption.
