About Chai
Meet Chai – Chai is a gentle natured 5 year old Chihuahua.
Chai is such a lovely, friendly boy who deserves a loving home.
Chai is a beautiful companion dog who takes food so very gently and doesn’t dig, bark unnecessarily or jump fences. Chai is excellent on walks and he thoroughly enjoys car rides. He is happy to be inside just chilling with you having cuddles in a loving home environment.
Chai's toilet trained and currently sleeps in the laundry with another doggy friend and you don’t hear a peep all night.
Chai would prefer a new home where his new owner is home often or he has another doggy friend for company.
Medical notes
Chai is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped & heartworm tested.
Chai came into care with a severe ear infection and was partially dead. SHARI has provided much needed surgery for Chai and his ear infection has now cleared up and he has even been given the gift of hearing!

Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
As we rely on our foster carers (who are all volunteers and have families, jobs and pets of their own) to help with adoptions it may take a couple of days to organise for you to meet a dog once you have submitted your adoption application. We appreciate your understanding and patience with us while we work with you to ensure the perfect match for your family.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
**Please note that all paperwork including the Microchip Change of owner form will be handed over after the 10 day trial period.**
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
