About Reno
Reno is a striking male coated German Shepherd who has come into care from a Sydney Animal Shelter. Reno is a mature aged German Shepherd who had been left basically as a yard dog in his previous home, we can see this from his coat condition. His ears have been badly chewed by flies and his coat was dry and never stripped.
So this boy has been sent to the beauty parlour for a complete make over and it sure has made a difference. Nails clipped, ears cleaned and cream applied to heal the tips, hydro bathed and his coat stripped and the lumps of hair taken off so he feel so much better now.
This gorgeous boy needs a confident experienced Shepherd owner who understands the nature of the Shepherd breed and who will ensure Reno has stability and firm boundaries in the home. Reno is a smoochey boy and will mouth your hand asking for more pats and cuddles. It would seem he has been starved of affection and now seeks you out asking for more and more attention.
So we would suggest at this stage that he go to a home without children and that his new owner understands the requirements of owning a large breed dog and has experience with training and will ensure Reno receives daily exercise and inclusion in the family home.
Reno is in care with several other rescue shepherds and is social and friendly. Reno would need secure fencing and a home where his human pack are around him.
He has been desexed, vaccinated C5, heart worm tested negative and now on heart worm prevention. We have flea treated him and wormed him. He is currently located in Windsor and can be viewed by contacting Linda.
We do not want Reno to go to a home where he lives the rest of his life as just a yard dog this boy deserves so much more. He is a striking boy with a loving nature and in the right hands will be a loyal and trusted companion dog.
Medical notes
Reno is desexed, vaccinated C5 on heart worm prevention. He is located at Windsor and has also been wormed and flea treated. He will need further lead and obedience training.
