About Horton
Hi! My name is Horton. I was listed as 'giveaway need gone tonight!' on the internet so a nice family that knows Off The Chain K9 Rescue, took me before anyone irresponsible could, or the owner did something bad to me. I have been very well behaved since coming into foster. I rarely make a noise and I get along well with my two canine brothers and canine sister (all medium and large breeds). I have had my first vaccination now, as well as worming, flea treatment and microchipping. My desexing comes later when I am a bit older. I am fantastic with kids and love going on the trampoline!
I am Irish Wolfhound x Bull Arab so I will be a large sized dog when I'm an adult, with a cute little beard and moustache. My energy levels are moderate so just a daily or bi-daily walk or trip to the dog park is all I need. I have seen cats since coming into foster and am curious but don't chase them or try to bite.
Medical notes
I am fit, healthy and happy and can be desexed when I am around 5 months old - the cost of this has already been factored into my adoption fee so in our contract it will have a section for this!
Adoption details
There is a pre-adoption questionnaire that you can fill out to express your interest in one of our pets. Please message us to ask for one. Then we can meet up in a park or at your home to decide if this is the right pet for you! If you have other pets it would be ideal to bring them with you.
Adoption comes with a one week trial to make sure you are the perfect fit for each other and there is a contract for you to sign so you know we are all covered. Everyone is vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and desexed for adoption. If puppies and kittens are too young for desexing, this is added into a special clause in the contract and the surgery is pre-paid at the time of adoption. Then when old enough, the pet can be sent for surgery at no cost.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
