About Nitro ~ Staffy (on trial 23/3/16)
Introducing Nitro! This guy is a real character and a sweetheart. A 5 year old Staffy, Nitro is smart, affectionate, and well behaved, bringing together all the very best qualities of the Staffy breed.
He is loyal and gentle - although should be supervised around younger children as he is very strong. He is full of fun and energy when playing with other dogs. He is also a real snuggle bunny if you'll let him as he loves being close to 'his' humans.
Nitro does not demand attention but loves pats and back scratches (especially that magic sweet spot at the very base of his tail), and loves to play tug and ball. He loves fetch, but hasn't quite mastered the art of 'dropping' yet! He loves walks, and is good on a lead.
He currently lives with a 2 year old female Staffy, and they just love wrestling together.
Nitro would suit a home with another doggy friend to play with or one where his human is home a lot to keep him company.
Nitro has stolen quite a few hearts on his journey with dog rescue and he will definitely make a wonderful addition to any household lucky enough to have him join their family!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
