About Cliff
Cliff is a 1 year old black and tan Kelpie. This stocky boy has been in foster care for a while, through no fault of his own and we’re desperate to find someone who will give this gorgeous hunk a chance!
He was surrendered due to being too boisterous for his elderly owner to walk on leash, though he has proved to be very open to training and the right owner will have this young man’s obedience in tip top shape in no time. A good general obedience class to cement his relationship with his new best buddy will have you off on the right paw!
He can sit, drop, wait for food and he has decent recall when not overly distracted. He walks nicely on leash when provided with a nice structured walk.
Cliff has quite a high herding drive and as such doesn’t always know how to play with other dogs very well. He has made huge improvement with his play sessions with other dogs while in foster care and really enjoys getting out and about with other dogs for a run around. A single dog home or a family with a big, boofy friendly dog who won’t find Cliff intimidating will get on just fine.He is untested with cats and may be a little too bouncy for a family with young children.
He is very sweet with people. He will always be by your side, patiently waiting for a scratch behind his ears and he is desperate to be in good favour with his person. He is very clever in that he is actively looking for what the command is you’re trying to portray to him and as such he bonds very closely to people and really just needs a best mate who is going to spend time with him and actively involve him in their everyday life.
Cliff is happy to sleep inside or outside and is toilet trained.
Everyone who meets this boy falls in love with him as his bum just about falls off as it wiggles so much in adoration. He is unwaveringly loyal – a typical Kelpie boy. All up to date with his vaccinations, microchipped, desexed and MORE than ready to find his forever family!

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2.Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form.: (This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.)

3. If your are successful one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you can return the dog at any time (the more notice the better, so we can ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be returned to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phone during this time, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
