About Duke
“I’m Duke and if you’re lucky enough you might have received a kiss from me when I was being a GR ambassador at the Hawkesbury Show in 2015! I love to be around people, especially kiddies who pay special attention to my velvety ears and tell me how handsome I am (this is very new to me, and I like getting attention!) and I had lots of little princesses give me smooches. I am quite sure after all those kisses I must have turned into a Prince! I am very gentle with people but small fluffy dogs and their fluffy friends called cats get me a bit too excited, so it would be best if my new family didn’t have either of those. I get along very well with other houndies and medium sized dogs, I am quite a charmer with the lady hounds. I love playtimes, walks, and just hanging out while humans do whatever they need to. I heard there are people who like going for walks and going places but don’t have a dog – can you believe it? They just aren’t doing it right without a dog! Wait…you’re one of those people? Let me help you to do your walks right. Get in touch with the volunteers at GR, and I just might be your perfect match!”

Adoption details
Once we have found your new greyhound we will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
