Sumba ~ Shih Tzu x on trial 29/01/16

Hi! My name is Sumba, a sweet, soft little Shih Tzu x boy, only 4 years old. My foster mum calls me "Smiley" because of my adorable cheeks-scrunched-up-teeth-showing-grin I give her when she comes home.

I love a good scratch on the belly but am also cool to laze around in my own bed. My foster mum lets me sleep inside, and she finds me in some weird and wacky places having a snooze. What can I say? If it looks comfy, I’ll be there.

I am a pretty chilled out and quiet boy. I don’t mind my very boisterous foster brother and sister and I get along with all sorts of other dogs when we go for walks! My foster mum says I walk well on lead with a harness, I think she’s right too. I am toilet trained. I still need a little guidance with learning to come when called and other basic commands but I’m getting there.

I have a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep me comfortable and beautiful.

I would be fine in a home with other dogs or as an only dog. I don’t mind hanging around home while my foster parents go to work. I am fine with children. In all, I’m not bothered by much.

I was surrendered recently, had a haircut, a clean and some good hearty meals, so I am ready for the loving home I deserve.
