About Pippin **2nd Chance Cat Rescue**
Meet Pippin, the prettiest kid on the block! With her medium long-haired dark torti fur and her mesmerizing eyes she's a real stunner! That lovely fur, which needs regular grooming, is silky soft and glossy. In other words, Pippin is super model material!
We think that Pippin is well aware of her good looks, because she loves to pose for the camera. She'll make a great subject for all those Facebook photos!
She's not just good looks, though, she has a lovely, albeit "catty" personality to go with her pretty fur. As befits a lady with her stunning appearance she is a bit of a diva. She enjoys a good petting, but only when she feels like it. If she is busy doing other things, which is quite often as she is a very adventurous cat, she'll let you know by hissing at you. That's all she does, though. She just hisses, she never scratches. It's simply her way of asking you to leave her be for a bit. Once she's done with her adventures she will on occasion curl up in your lap or under the covers. In winter she tends to be very social that way, but in summer she prefers to be out and about to see what's going on in the big wide world. But in spite of this independent streak and the hissing she's a sweet, affectionate girl.
Pippin likes cats, provided they are not too dominant, and is just mad about one of the dogs that currently shares her home. She lives with two dogs and loves to be groomed by one of them, she will curl right up with him. The other one is a bit more boisterous, she’s never been all that fond of that one.
She loves to play, especially with toys on a string. Every time someone goes to the cupboard where the toys are kept she comes running. She also likes playing with the dogs’ tennis balls. She has the cutest squeaky high-pitched mew. It sounds as if she’s still a kitten. That’s why she's called Pippin, because it sounds like she goes “Pip pip”. You can call her by going “Pip pip pip pip!” and she’ll usually come running and talking.
Pippin is a very easy-going and social little lady, who has been raised in a family with three children ranging from primary school to high school age. She also loves visitors and will be the first one at the door when someone comes knocking.
She's a quirky cat who will brighten up any home.
