Meisha *On Trial in Her New Home*

*MEISHA IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Can’t choose between which dog to adopt, then why not adopt two! Meisha (female, 10 year old Shih Tzu x Maltese) and Zack (male, 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier x) are definitely an example of ebony and ivory living in perfect harmony!

Surrendered to SARG, as their previous owner unfortunately passed away, this happy couple are looking for a new forever home who can handle all the love they have to share. While Meisha and Zack give each other space when required, this loveable duo eat together, sleep together and can even walk side by side on a splitter lead. As they have always been together, we believe it would be in their best interests to be adopted together as well.

Adorable Meisha has that calming personality that makes you feel good about life. She enjoys relaxing under a shady tree on these hot Mildura days we’ve been having, then wading in their doggie pool before finding a nice dark den to snuggle into. While Meisha loves attention and will give you a big welcome when you get home, followed by lap cuddles, this girl is also happy just being a dog and lazing around - her foster carers say she has a cat-like personality about her. Being Shih Tzu x Maltese she doesn’t lose any hair though will need the occasional brush plus clipping by a professional as required. One of Meisha’s front paws turns outwards instead of facing forward, though it doesn’t slow her down in any way and is barely noticeable. As she is getting on in age, our vet has had to remove some of Meisha’s teeth but that doesn’t stop her from eating her fave chicken necks!

Both Meisha and Zack would be best suited to a calm home environment, preferably with no small children as they want all the attention. They are quite social with other dogs when walking down the street. They aren’t yappers but will let you know when a stranger is at the door making them good little watchdogs. The pair are used to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle where they are outside when no one’s home but then inside when they’re home as they want to be around you as much as possible. Meisha and Zack are housetrained and if you had a doggie door we reckon this clever pair would put it to good use - they may not know any verbal commands such as ‘sit’, though with their eager to please natures a simple ‘no’ deters them from any unwanted behaviour.

Some chicken necks, a few of your leftovers and lots of hugs will make this adorable pair very happy indeed.
