About Cooper
Who can resist a face like this?!
** COOPER **
This adorable 11 week old male boxer baby has been described by one of the HNE team as "deafalicious"
Little Cooper is a squishy-faced bundle of puppy perfection who steals the heart of every person he meets. We're not sure how he does it - it could be those amazing eyes, the little nose-bumps he gives as kisses, the gentle lick he gives every hand that reaches out to him or the way he likes to rest his sweet little head on your shoulder when you pick him up... Whatever his secret weapon is, it has a 100% success rate. Spend 5 minutes with this pup and you will never want to be without him!
Cooper recently came into care with HNE and has spent the last couple of weeks putting on weight and doing his best to grow into his big ears. He's made progress with the weight, but there's no guarantee that those ears will ever look anything other than huge!
This little guy is a super-friendly, bright and happy puppy whose favourite thing besides playtime is curling up for a nap in someone's arms (we're letting him enjoy that while he can - it won't be long before he's a bit too big to be carried around while he sleeps!).
Cooper enjoys playing with other dogs but is equally fine on his own - he'll happily entertain himself pottering around the yard or playing with his toys and will settle in his kennel to sleep when outside alone.
Cooper is progressing well with his crate training and sleeps through the night. He's also doing really well with his toilet training and has learned his signed command for toileting. He's has already learnt the sign for "come" and is making progress with "sit" and "no".
As with all young pups (deaf or not) Cooper needs a family committed to his ongoing training to ensure he remains a happy, well-adjusted dog.
Puppy socialisation classes followed by obedience classes would be a great activities for Cooper's new family to get him involved in.
With his pink-skinned, white-coated little body and being a brachycephalic (snub nose or squish faced) breed, Cooper's family will need to ensure he is suitably protected from the sun and heat.
Like the majority of our dogs, daily application of suncream and either indoor access or a cool and well-shaded outdoor area is very important, especially in the summer months.
If you think this adorable bundle of puppy love is the new family member you've been looking for and would like some more information or an adoption application form then please send us a PM, email austdeafdogrescue@outlook.com or call 0497 414 632.

Adoption details
Hear No Evil's Adoption process:
1st Step * You contact us to obtain an adoption application, and discuss the dog of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability.
2nd Step * A Meet and Greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and and current dogs is arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a Yard check to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - We understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
3rd Step *Payment of the Adoption fee in full. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records.
Transport arrangements are the financial responsibility of the Adopting party. Hear No Evil are happy to assist with departure preparations and ensuring the dog makes its transport connection.
Final step * Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted, and the adoption is officially finalised.
