Barney has to be one of the most gentle, sweet natured dogs his foster carer has ever had the pleasure of meeting. When he first arrived in foster care he was a sad little dog who was totally lacking in confidence. Several weeks have now passed and, although he is still timid with new experiences, he is becoming more confident and happy with each passing day. Barney is a placid little boy who is very well behaved, especially for such a young dog. He is not demanding, is happy to entertain himself with his toys or have a nap in his basket while his humans are otherwise occupied, gets on well with other dogs, is not at all interested in cats, eats all his meals without fuss, travels perfectly in the car and sleeps through the night without a sound. . . . . He is a terrific little dog! barney particularly enjoys a scratch under the chin and adores curling up on the lounge with you at tv time. He is not an active, energetic boy so doesn't need a lot of walking but is happy with a short stroll to the corner shop a few times a week. Because barney has such a soft temperament he is best suited to a quieter household with a very kind and gentle owner who is prepared to give him lots of love and positive experiences. He would love a home with people who have time to spend with him, perhaps a 'work from home' person or active retirees and the company of another small, friendly dog would be a bonus. Barney is a house dog and has a high maintenance coat that requires regular grooming and clipping. Barney comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $330.
