About Archer (On Trial starts on 9/2/16)
Archer is a friendly outgoing 2 year old, male, Maltese cross who loves to be cuddled and have his tummy rubbed. He has been in care for over a month living with many dogs. He gets on well with all dogs, in fact he makes it his mission to play and wrestle with as many as possible.
When he first arrived he had little or no lead experience but quickly took it up and enjoys his walks immensely. He loves to play ball and chew on toys.
Archer is fully house trained and is in excellent health with no medical issues. He has mesmerising pale eyes and a pink nose. He has a short coat at the moment and will require regular grooming to keep him comfortable and tangle free as it gets longer. He'll also brushing most days and a bath every 3 weeks.
Archer is an inside dog and must be allowed to sleep indoors at night. He has his own bed which he loves but if allowed will obviously try to sleep on the human bed.
This loving little boy will make a great companion for a retired person or anyone wanting to add a second dog to the family.
For more information or to arrange to meet Archer, please contact Diane on 0425 200 721 or email dipamp4@bigpond.com. Archer is in foster care in Salamander Bay NSW (Port Stephens).
Archer’s adoption fee is $500. He is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and comes with lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
