About Layla
Hi, I’m Layla! I am a 10 month old Boxer X Staghound, and as you can see I am a big girl and I’m only going to get bigger, so my forever family will need to be prepared for this. My foster mum believes you can’t get much sweeter than me, I have a beautiful gentle nature. I am great with kids, other dogs and tolerant cats, as I really want them to be my friend but with my feline foster brother, he doesn’t really appreciate when I bop him on the head from time to time. I am a very intelligent young girl, and easily trained as I am food orientated. Not in an annoying way though, my foster parents have taught me to stay in my bed while they’re eating at the dinner table. I also have a couple of quirky characteristics too… I like to talk to my humans, especially in the mornings. I sound somewhat like a grizzly bear with my semi growl/howl, but I wouldn’t hurt a fly (not literally, I actually like to eat them haha). I also find it great fun to drink from the tap while you are trying to fill up my water bowl. I am housetrained and only have the occasional accident inside, like if it’s raining outside I’m not too keen to go out there. So to wrap things up… I am suitable for a home with or without dogs, cats & kids, but having playmates would be great! If I wasn’t to go to a home with another dog for company, I would need my human to be around more often than not. And most importantly, I need my forever family to be exactly that, and really want, and be able to include me in their lives, and none of this sleeping outside business I am an inside dog. I have so much love to give, just come and meet me, you will see it in my eyes!
