Jackson ~ purebred border collie On Trial 19/1/16

Jackson: 3 year old, purebred Border Collie. How can anyone resist this handsome man? Jackson is keenly looking for his forever home and what a gentleman this gorgeous and loving dog is!

At the moment, Jackson is living with four female dogs and, while he was a little shy at first, is now getting along famously with all of them.

It is apparent that Jackson has come up against some mistreatment in his past life. When he first came into foster care, he wasn’t happy about being touched around the neck and hind quarters. He has since developed into a more confident and life loving chap, who is still learning to trust humans and appreciate human touch. With a little TLC, Jackson will be the best dog you could hope to meet.

While being a dog who is now learning to accept affection and attention, Jackson still maintains his independence and isn’t overly demanding. He is a well-mannered, house-trained, inside and outside boy who is learning his basic commands such as sit, bed, stay and fetch. Although, he still doesn’t really understand the fetching concept. He walks well on a lead and loves the dog park.

With his soft coat that can easily be cared for with just a bath and the occasional brush and optional clip, Jackson is quite low maintenance. Jackson would be happy as an only dog given plenty of love, attention and exercise, but wouldn’t mind sharing the love with other dogs in the home. Being a fairly flexible and adaptable dog, Jackson would do well in most households; although we are not sure about cats and he is probably better around older children.
