About Mungo *On Trial in His New Home*
*MUNGO IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Named after the sheep and wheat station he came from as a tiny puppy Mungo is an energetic, young dog who is always up for a bit of fun whether it’s bouncing on a trampoline with the kids or chasing his beloved Kong toy, he’s always ready to play!
Magnificent Mungo is a friendly, happy young dog who likes attention and hanging out with his humans. He enjoys the company of other dogs so we reckon he’d be great sharing a home with a dog with similar energy levels. If Mungo was to be an only child it would be best if his owner had the time for him so he wasn’t left alone for long hours every day in case he became bored which may lead to mischief. He’s never met a cat so we’re not sure how that would go. What Mungo does adore is children and is quite playful around them so a home with older kids (say 7+ years) would be great as he may accidentally bowl the little ones over with his exuberance.

Clever Mungo sits well on command and will “drop” and “shake paws” especially when there are treats involved which he takes ever so gently. Being a working breed he is very smart and seems to figure things out quite quickly especially when they benefit him! He’s quite strong on a lead so regular walks with a Halti/Gentle Leader should help with this.
With his working dog genes Mungo is an active dog who likes to run so a decent sized yard is a must. He enjoys frolicking under the sprinklers in the Mildura-heat we’ve been having and he loves it down the river where he can run flat out and then play in the waves made by passing boats, but he’s not a fan of having a bath; go figure!
Mungo is mainly an outside dog (he sleeps outside at night) though he is housetrained and is well behaved inside usually sitting or lying quietly on a mat, so we’d love to see this indoor / outdoor lifestyle continued in his forever home. He’s affectionate not licky or a yapper only barking for a reason making him a good watchdog.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
