About Dontae
Dontae is a bouncy young boy full of energy and play! He is good with kids although due to his size he could knock over the real little ones so like all dogs will need supervision around young kids.
Dontae has not done any formal training but knows sit and is toilet trained.
He can be trusted to be left inside during the day as long as he gets his daily walk, run or bike ride before hand. If not he can be destructive if bored.
Dontae is good with other dogs and very friendly to people.
He will need a home without cats, chickens or other pocket pets.
Donate can jump 5ft fences if he wants to so a home with 6ft fences is required. Donate will try to escape if his exercise needs are not met and if he is left unattended for excessively long hours.
Dontae would do well in a home with another dog to keep him company but he could also be an only dog as long as he gets the attention and mental stimulation he needs.
Donate does not always come back when let off the lead so it is best if he is walked on lead, particularly near roads and other dogs. Given his Kelpie genes it is possible his recall could improve with training.
Dontae is not a loud dog but he will bark on occasion to warn of a stranger.
