About Annie
Annie came into rescue after being picked up roaming the streets full of milk from a recent litter although no owner or pups were ever located. She has had a hard start to life showing a couple of small scars and bumps and is now getting used to some regular meals, exercise and love while in foster care and waiting for her new forever home.
In the short time Annie has been in foster care she has blossomed. Her nature is coming through and she is very sweet, loves company of any kind (people or dogs) and in some ways is still a puppy herself and is learning how to play and have fun with other dogs. She is also happy with her own company.
She came into care not having any training and is now easily picking up basic commands such as wait and sit. She is eager to please so it would be ideal if her new family spends some time with her training to help her understand what is expected. She sleeps through the night inside without a single peep she is so quiet. When inside during the day she also has learnt her 'spot/bed' and will lie and sleep happily knowing that you are nearby.
She currently is living with other dogs, one bigger and one smaller and cats without any issues and has easily fitted in. If anything she is wary of the cats and stays clear of them. She is good in the car, although needs to be clipped or harnessed in (like all dogs should be) and will generally stay in the one spot.
She took a while to work out what water was when she was exercised at the local weir but once she did she was happy to follow the other dogs in although kept her feet firmly on the ground. She loves running off lead and although her recall needs some work. Each day she is getting better and better on lead and off.
She is a beautiful looking dog and she is a lovely size (between a Maltese and a Lab) just right to sit by you while you watch TV and have a cuddle. She is very easy going. She would love to have her own forever home and family that will include her in their lives and exercise her regularly.
