Hi there! My name is Brandy and I’m a cute and cuddly 4 month old Wolfhound x Lhasa Apso. Yes you read it correctly, Lhasa Apso. What’s that you say! Well Lhasa Apso’s were originally from Tibet and were found in temples and monasteries. They are a small hardy dog with a flowing coat. Pretty cool hey!
I guess I take after my dad (the wolfhound) in looks but I won’t be as big as him. I’m very affectionate and gentle like my mum (the Lhasa Apso x) and will probably be just a little bit taller than her. Mum says medium size.
My foster mummy says I’m a real sweetie and I try really hard to please her. I love to follow her around the house. I am very gentle and very well behaved indoors. I’m trying hard with this toilet training stuff but I have had a couple of little accidents. Mum says it’s okay, I’m still a baby and I’ll get the hang of it very soon because I’m so smart.
I just love playing and running outside with my sister Pina, (she is also available for adoption) and my other larger foster siblings. I am even good with the cat!
I’ve been learning to do some cool training; I’m getting the hang of walking on the lead.
I am still a puppy and like to try out my teeth on new things. (You really shouldn’t leave your shoes lying around when there’s a new puppy in the house).
My foster mum says my perfect forever home would be with a very loving family.
I would love to be part of a family and be allowed to have some time indoors. I will need to have ongoing training to help develop and maintain my doggie manners.
A family with another dog for company would be great but I would be happy on my own as long as I wasn’t left alone all day. (I might get up to mischief).
I’m so excited to be getting a family of my very own. Do you think you could be my new family?

Brandy's adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
