Scarlett ~ on trial 17/01/16

Hi there! My name is Scarlet and I’m a cute and cuddly 4 month old Wolfhound x Lhasa Apso. Yes you read it correctly, Lhasa Apso. What’s that you say! Well Lhasa Apso’s were originally from Tibet and were found in temples and monasteries. They are a small hardy dog with a flowing coat. Pretty cool hey!

I guess I take after my dad (the wolfhound) in looks but I won’t be as big as him. I’m very affectionate and gentle like my mum (the Lhasa Apso x) and will probably be just a little bit taller than her. Mum says medium size.

My foster mummy says I’m a real sweetie and I try really hard to please her. I love to follow her around the house and I especially enjoy night times when she lets me have a snuggle on the lounge. I’m very well behaved indoors and I can even use the doggie door. She was so excited when I used it by myself for the first time. I’m trying hard with this toilet training stuff but I have had a couple of little accidents. Mum says it’s okay, I’m still a baby and I’ll get the hang of it very soon because I’m so smart.

I just love playing and running outside with my 2 doggie sisters. They’re a lot bigger than me but we get on very well together. I have lots of toys to entertain me but my favourite game is with the ball. I even get on well with the grumpy old cat that lives inside. I try to play with him but I think he’s a bit too old for games.

I’ve been learning to do some cool things that my foster mum calls training. I can ‘sit’ and ‘wait’ for my food and I’m super good at coming when I’m called. I’m now trying to do ‘stay’ and ‘down’ and I’m even starting to walk on a leash! That one’s been a bit tricky but I’m getting better every day!

I am still a puppy and like to try out my teeth on new things. (You really shouldn’t leave your shoes lying around when there’s a new puppy in the house).

My foster mum says my perfect forever home would be with a very loving family, couple or single person. I’m great with kids of all ages and I try hard to have my bottom on the ground to get a pat.
I would love to be part of a family and be allowed to have some time indoors. I will need to have ongoing training to help develop and maintain my doggie manners.
A family with another dog for company would be great but I would be happy on my own as long as I wasn’t left alone all day. (I might get up to mischief).
I’m so excited to be getting a family of my very own. Do you think you could be my new family?
