About Hendrix - Labrador x Shih Tzu on trial 14/01/16
Hi my name is Hendrix and I am a 9 month old Labrador x Shih Tzu. True to the nature of both breeds I am very lively, outgoing, affectionate and loyal. I have not had much training but I am smart and with consistency I will learn quickly.
I am a really good medium sized dog and won't get any bigger so I am a good size to travel in the car. I travel really well in the car sitting very quietly which might seem surprising considering how energetic I am but like I said I'm pretty smart so I know I have to behave in the car.
I was desexed recently and recovered very well. I love playing with my foster brother and depending on who adopts me I would be good either as an only dog that gets lots of exercise or an addition to the furry family if my brother or sister likes to play a lot.
Even though I have a long coat I love a bath and am quite easy to maintain. My foster parents have a rabbit that lives in the backyard and I don't mind her at all. She doesn't bother me so I don't bother her!
I would love to meet my new family soon so that I can get settled in to my new home and show them the big heart that I have.
My foster family lives in New Lambton (Newcastle) and you can call my foster mum Alison on 0435 535338 for more information or send an application to alisonmgreenwood@gmail.com
Hendrix's adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
