Teena is full of personality and gets on well with her carers’ dogs but loves to be the centre of attention. She is very affectionate and loves to be cuddled, or sit on her carers’ laps or next to them when the opportunity arises. Teena loves her walks and especially her trips to the beach where she plays with her ball and will bring it back. Teena will also chase seagulls, running quite a distance but always returns. Due to her desire to chase she may not live easily with cats – she has not been tested with cats or other small animals.

We feel that Teena would especially suit a retired couple or someone who may work from home who can give her lots of time and attention which is what she desires most in life. A calm gentle home and perhaps another dog for company would suit her especially well. Teena has not lived with children and has displayed a reticence to interact with children who have visited Teena’s foster home.

Teena was not toilet trained when she came to SAFE but is learning – she is regularly put outside for her toilet which has stopped accidents but she still has to learn to ask at the door – this will just take time. Teena does actually like to talk to you :)
