About Missy ~ (On Trial 6/1/16) Saint Bernard X
Hi! My name is Missy and I am a 1.5 year old Saint Bernard cross looking for my forever home! I am a beautiful, big girl, but I’m very calm for my age. My favourite things to do include lazing around in the sun, snuggling up in my inside bed, and of course getting a hug or pat from my humans! I am confident and absolutely love being around people and meeting new ones!
I have been living with my foster parents, my foster brother (a Labrador) and a cat. I am sometimes very choosy with which doggy I want to be friends with so I am best suited as an only dog or with another submissive male dog like my current foster brother. I am great with the cat and have also met a litter of kittens - my foster mum says I am a gentle giant!
I am a very clever girl with great manners and I’m a fast learner. Since being in foster care, I have learnt to sit, shake hands, come when called and I am getting better every day at walking on a leash! When we go walking lots of people and children want to stop in the street to pat me - they say I capture their heart with my eyes and they hope I find the best forever home - after not the greatest start in life I hope I do too!
I like children, but due to my size and temperament I would be best suited to a home without any young children. I have also been to cafes on the weekend where I am a very well behaved girl and love the attention I get for my unique features!
I have been sleeping outside most nights undercover with my foster brother, but when I have slept inside I have been a very good girl and not moved a muscle! I am happy to be outside during the day when my foster parents are at work, but love to be inside with them when they come home. Once again, I am normally on my special doggy bed inside - my foster dad calls me a lounge lizard!
I would be best suited to a forever home who will make me a part of their family, who will let me inside to be with them when they are at home and who will give me the love and attention that I deserve.
If you would like to be my forever home please contact my foster mum Jess on 0416 612 703 or email her at jessica.germon@outlook.com. I am in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and am available for adoption interstate.
Crossing all my paws for the perfect forever home for me!
Love Missy Girl xoxo

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
