About Mr Darcy (Expressions of Interest only)
Mr Darcy is a beautiful boy who is looking for a family to call his own. Mr Darcy is around 8 years old and is a poodle x. Even though he is around 8 that does not stop him. This gorgeous boy just loves to play with tennis balls.
Mr Darcy loves nothing more then to jump in the car with you and head to the beach where he could hang out all day with you.
Mr Darcy is full of character and loves to impersonate a meerkat. He tends to eat anything and loves to teach his ball a lesson.
Mr Darcy is great with other animals however he does not suit a family with kids.
Mr Darcy would make a great family pet for someone who is after the company of a quirky dog. If you think he would fit into your family please fill out an adoption form to meet this gorgeous spunk!
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Browns Plains, Jindalee or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heart worm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Adoption details
The first step to adopting a dog from us is to fill out an expression of interest form.
We encourage you to provide as much detail as possible about your family and your home as this helps us make sure we match you with the most suitable dog.

Please note: we do not organise any meet and greet without a completed expression of interest form.
Our adoption process involves:
1) Completing online application form
2) Arranging a meet and greet with the dogs foster carer, after which we ask you to take 24 hours to make a decision about whether you want to adopt this dog
3) A brief home visit and yard check from one of our volunteers
4) Adoption trial spanning four weeks.
We ask that you pay the dogs adoption fee at the beginning of the adoption trial, however this will be refunded if for any reason the dog is not working out in your home within the four week period. We offer a four week adoption trial to make sure that you have plenty of time for your new dog to settle into your home and so we can offer you full support during this period and beyond.
We offer a free health check with our vets at Indooroopilly, Browns Plains, Jindalee or Chermside vet clinic after you’ve adopted your dog and every dog in our care is up to date with all vet work.
