About Rusty ~ Pomeranian on trial 9/01/16
Hi, I’m Rusty! I'm a 6 year old, male, Pomeranian X and I’m looking for my forever home. Let me just start by saying that I love everyone! I'm always excited to make some new friends. Big dogs, little dogs, humans, the garden hose - they're all my friends. I haven't met a cat yet, but I'm sure I'd like them too.
I have to admit that I'm a little softy and a huge lap dog. I always want to be where my human friend is, I just love them so much! For this reason, I would really like someone who is home a lot (perhaps someone who works from home or is retired) who will let me inside with you, and I will be your most loyal and loving shadow.
At the moment, I have three foster siblings that I have won over with my cheeky wrestling style - and they're all bigger than me! So if you can't be home all the time then having another doggy companion would keep me occupied until you let me back on your lap again.
My foster mum thinks I'm the perfect house guest: I'm toilet trained, sit for food, great in the bath and at the groomers, I don't dig or chew things and I only bark at things that I'm not sure of like people on bikes (they're scary right!?). I'm a happy-go-lucky guy who is happy with my food, a walk and a nap by your side.
Anyway, it’s time to go - somebody turned the hose on so I'm off to help with the gardening!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
