Adorable Atlas

Hello – my name is Atlas (like the map, and I’m looking for my forever home. The story of Atlas is that he was a Greek Titan condemned by Zeus to support the heavens upon his shoulders. Sometimes that’s how I feel, even at the young age of 6 months – I feel like I’ve wandered aimlessly all over the globe in search of a home. I came from the pound, and I didn’t really like it there, it was a very scary place. But now I’m living with my foster family, and while I’m still a bit of a scaredy cat, they are showing me I don’t have to bear the weight of the world on my paws. My foster mommy says I’m making my mark on the world with my good looks – she thinks I am quite handsome with my unique tabby markings, and white little chin. I am friendly once you get to know me and I do like people, but the grown up kind, not the little ones. I do like other kitties, but doggies scare me! My foster mommy thinks that because I’m a little on the shy side, people may have overlooked what a great cat I am. I do take a little while to warm up and I don't actively seek the spotlight – but once I up warm, I promise I’ll sizzle with love and life! I’m not asking for the world – I just want a safe quiet home with some nice food, a gentle hand, and plenty of love! You can take this weight off my shoulders, if you would give me a place I can call home.
