“Mildred”, Miss Manners - Brisbane/Gold Coast

Hello, my name is Mildred and people say I’m very sweet. I’m in foster care with George, and although we’re very different, we’re best of friends. I hope we get adopted together, because he needs someone sensible like me to keep an eye on him!

Unlike George, I like life in the slow lane, and I don’t tend to get over-excited. If I meet another dog or a cat, I just have a sniff and don’t make a fuss. I also like to chase sticks, and if George steals my stick I sometimes steal his, to get him back.

I wasn’t too sure about living with humans at first, but now I like spending time with them, and sleeping in the same room with them to keep them company. I’m a very good dog most of the time, except my foster carers say I need to stop jumping on them when they get home (I can’t help it, I’m so pleased to see them, but we are working on settling me down). I like going for walks and am careful not to pull on my lead.

People are always telling me how beautiful I am, and I do have a graceful, slender figure and very pretty eyes. I’d love to meet my forever family and show them how polite and loving a greyhound can be.
