About Ben *On Trial in His New Home*
*BEN IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Looking for a well-behaved young dog without going through the pesky puppy-stage??? Then you can’t go past beautiful, bouncy Ben! And at 26.5kgs he’s like a mini-Lab, nice and compact!
Ben is described as an “awesome dog who is happy and friendly”!! He’s settled in well into foster care where he’s enjoying the attention of everyone he meets. He absolutely adores people and is always eager to please his humans. He’s also terrific with other dogs of all shapes and sizes – he doesn’t appear to have a mean bone in his body and he and his foster carer’s male Rottweiler love to play! We’re not sure how he is with cats though we could probably test this if required..
This affectionate young dog rarely jumps up making him a pleasure to be around and he’s not at all licky or in your face. Ben knows “sit” as well as his name and he loves to go for walks though he does pull, so his foster carer finds that a Gentle Leader or similar helps with this. He likes food, though isn’t a glutton, and takes treats ever so gently which will help with any further training you may like to do. Ben loves water and enjoys splashing about in his doggie pool in this hot Mildura weather we’ve been having.

Adorable Ben loves playing with toys (that’s when you see his puppy-side shine through!) and enjoys a game of fetch even if he may not bring the ball back every time! While in foster care he’s been an outside only dog though we reckon he’d really like being allowed inside on occasion especially in the wintertime. Another friendly dog for company if you’re not home much during the day would be a must as Ben enjoys the company of others and a good sized yard with secure fencing and bones to chew on will make Ben very happy indeed!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
