About Zelda *I'm just $150!*
Gorgeous Zelda was almost put to sleep in a regional pound, but has been scooped up into rescue and shows how greatful she is every day with her super cuddly nature. She loves to fall asleep in your lap (don't tell her she isn't a lap dog) and has been known to sleep in bed with the kids in her foster home.
She is excellect with kids though as she is still a puppy, she has a tendency to mouth when excited, but plays well. Zelda is gentle and quiet (except the thud-thud of her wagging tail coming down the hallway!). She is toilet trained and enjoys being welcomed into the home with her family.
Zelda yearns for companionship. She would love a forever home where there is another like-minded dog, who doesn't mind having a cuddle and play. She is still learning how to interact with new friends at the dog park and will follow them but not engage. As her confidence grows, this should change.
Zelda loves the water with a capital L! Playing in or with water is her favourite pass time and catching water coming from the hose is a game that could last all Summer! She's learning to play fetch but still hasn't mastered the bringing it back to you part.
She hasn't been tested with cats or pocket animals yet. Her foster carers are working with her on basic obedience, walking well on her leash, and going for rides in the car.
We would love to see Zelda go to a family home ... perhaps with slightly older kids who will throw the ball for her and swim with her in the pool. She is so lovely and lovable, and has had it tough so far. She really deserves a fresh start!
Please note: Zelda requires secure fencing, as she has learnt to jump fences when she feels the need :).
