Hartley ~ Bull Arab X ~ Puppy on trial 24/01/16

Hello, my name is Hartley, and the heart shape on my nose is what I have to thank for this name. I’m a lovely 5 and a half month old Bull Arab mix,

I must tell you, I am SO happy to be out of the pound! I’m starting to learn what pet life is like and I’m really enjoying it! So much love! And whilst I’d love to stay here with my foster carers forever, it’s time for me to move on so that they can continue to get other pooches like me out of the pounds and give them a fighting chance of love too. I’d really like the opportunity to meet you to see how compatible we are.

Because of my breed I am likely to grow to about 40 kg, but of course, as I’m sure you understand, this can’t be guaranteed. I respond well to my name, and I can sit when asked to. I am also toilet trained and I love eating all kinds of food – so I’m not a picky eater. I am learning to wait patiently for food and treats and I am also learning to drop and rollover.
I‘ve become used to being in a crate at bed time, and I’m an inside sleeper, so you would need to allow this for me at your home. I am very quiet at night, so I won’t be a bother to you (except for maybe the first couple of nights while I adjust of course).

I love to play ‘tug of war’ and run around with my foster brothers and sisters.

I would really love to have a furever home and family to call my own. I promise to give you lots of smiles and as much fun as we can possibly have together. I would prefer to have another dog for company as I love playing with other dogs very much.

Foster carer notes:
Hartley is growing fast. He is learning to walk on lead with a harness and is still a bit in awe at the size of the outside world. He is not scared of storms or traffic noises. He is a fast learner and will do well with training - such as training classes, which is recommended for all our dogs to give them the best start to life.

He is affectionate and playful, taking delight in any type of toys - from stuffed animals (with or without squeakers) to an empty plastic bottle. He is learning dog social skills and body language from our other dogs, and is currently living with a Bull Arab and four greyhounds. He has not met any small dogs yet but we will try to do this soon. We have not tested him with cats yet, but feel the cat would show him soon enough who the boss is, as he is submissive.

He is a very happy boy and deserves your time and commitment.
