About Pattisserie (aka Patti)and Bri
Now, before we begin let me explain about my rather unusual name... when I first came to the attention of my foster carers, I was very heavily pregnant with not just one "bun in the oven" but a whole belly full of six kittens! I was a whole bakery! But Bakery didn't seem to be a very good cat name, so Patti it is!!
I was found as a stray, hungry and skinny as I nourished my growing babies instead of myself. Although I didn't appreciate it at first, I was very lucky to be caught by the Rangers and taken to the pound because from there I found my way into the care of my foster family and was able to raise my babies in a safe location where I would never go hungry.
I have been an incredible mum from day one, doting on my babies and never letting them out of my sight. I made friends with another cat with kittens in my foster home and was happy to let those kittens feed from me alongside my own. As each of my babies has gone away to their own homes I have pined and worried for them, despite knowing that it must happen.
Now I have just my one little girl Brioche (Bri) left with me and we must find a new home together, where I can look after her and love her always. For a long time she was the runt of the litter, though now she is a strong and healthy girl. I'm also currently caring for and feeding two orphaned kittens, though they don't really need me any more :)
I am a stunningly pretty girl, gorgeous grey with soft cream flecks. I have the very softest fur and to stroke it is a privilege. In my foster home, I am docile and sweet. I rub gently on my foster mums ankles, lean in for scratches behind the ear and don't mind being picked up for short periods. However, it took me a number of weeks to settle and feel safe. I briefly spent time in another foster home where I was stressed and unhappy, so I came back here. Bri and I need a quiet home with no loud children, with experienced cat owners or a family who are willing to let me be me, allowing me to settle in and show them my love in my own time. I will always be a quiet and reserved girl, though that comes with its perks as I am neat and tidy and very, very quiet. Bri is more active and out-going with a cheeky streak that's just adorable.
I need the most special of homes with someone to love me wholeheartedly despite the fact that I will take a little while to learn to love you. Living most of your life on the streets sadly teaches you to be distrusting and unsure so I need help to overcome this. But winning my trust and love will be quite possibly the most rewarding thing you ever do. If you want to truly save a life this new year, and give me the new start I so desperately need and deserve, please get in touch today.
