Dusty ~ Greyhound (On Trial 4/1/15)

Introducing Dusty! A beautiful 5 year old, medium sized greyhound. Her unique colouring is called blue brindle, and she has retired from the Greyhound racing and is on the lookout for a loving family to spend the rest of her days with.

Dusty is very affectionate and adores being around people. She loves going for walks (which is easy to do) and having a zoom around the backyard. Like all greyhounds, she thinks the best thing humans ever invented is the couch. Greyhounds do not need lots of exercise, so a moderate amount will suffice, and if you don't know already you will learn quickly why they are called the 70km/h couch potatoes.

Dusty currently lives with 2 whippets and an older greyhound, and she is very dog social. She has never been introduced to cats though. She is always eager to go for a swim when it gets hot, and she is good around young and older children. Dusty is a very relaxed greyhound, who likes to lounge around and look cute.

Dusty’s owner/trainer is also her foster carer, which is a first for us here at Dog Rescue Newcastle. He is leaving the racing industry and really wants to see for himself that she goes to a great home. He wants to know that she will be able to enjoy the rest of her life as a pet.
