About Stitches
FOSTER CARER NOTE: Stitches is one of the most well behaved and loving pups I've fostered. He's fantastic with all of my children as well as our own dogs and has picked up the routine here super quick. He's such a photogenic and lovable little man and will do anything to please you. There has been no destructive behaviour whatsoever since arriving and he's not a barker, he likes to talk to you and it's utterly adorable!
My name is Stitches, and I'm an American Bulldog x Cattle dog mix and still just a baby. I am in foster care with 4 host doggies, 3 kids and my foster mum and dad. I love everyone in my foster home and even though I'm growing, I am definitely a lap dog. I love to snuggle with my foster mum on the lounge of a night and she has even allowed me to sleep in her bed which I absolutely LOVE. My foster mum says I'm the best snuggle buddy ever!
I don't mind sharing food with my fellow foster friends and have shown no food aggression while in my foster home. I have learnt that I must sit before getting meals or any treats and am learning 'wait' so that I don't knock my bowl out of mum's hands when she's feeding me my dinner. Once I have finished my dinner I now know to wait until the other dogs walk away from their bowls before licking their bowls clean too!
I'm a real people doggie and enjoy interacting with humans, possibly even more so than other dogs. But since my foster buddy Sarge left, I am playing more with my host doggie friends and we play tug-o-war and love to wrestle in the backyard.
I'm really starting to pick up the whole toilet training thing and my foster mum is super proud of me when I do all my business outside. I'm walking well on lead and love going for walks with my host dogs. I'm a professional at the 'doggie door' and do enjoy the freedom of being both inside and outside when it suits me while my foster family are home.
I'm hoping to find a forever home with a lovely family or person who will allow me to live both inside and outside as part of the family. I don't want to be left outside on my own all day watching you through the window. I don't think I would cope well on my own either so would prefer another older doggie companion to keep me company and help train me up to be a well mannered boy. I will need ongoing training and socialisation and plenty of things to keep me occupied if you need to leave me at home on my own.
To kickstart his training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions
http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Stitches.
Stitches is in foster care at Blue Haven on the Central Coast and is available for adoption now as all his vet work is complete.

When enquiring about Stitches, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialization outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
