About Ricky ~ On Trial 7/01/16
Introducing Ugly Ricky, the most adorably ugly little fella in all of Newcastle. Ugly Ricky, or just Ricky as I'm sure he prefers, is 2 year old Pekinese X who is waiting for a loving forever home.
Ricky has been in care for a month and his personality has developed so much during this time. Initially he was a rather shy little man, but he has gained confidence and has really come out of his shell. He is the best of both worlds, he has a charming playful side, but also a chilled out relaxed side.
He loves to have a play with his stuffed toys or his foster siblings and loves to have a run around the yard. Being that he is still a young dog he sometimes like to chew things he shouldn't, he is not overly destructive but if there's a sock on the ground he considers it fair game and will spend the rest of the day carrying it around with him.
He also loves to interact and play with his foster mum, playing chase with her, or bringing over his toy for a game of tug-o-war.
After playtime Ricky can be found curled up next to his foster siblings as he loves other dogs company and would thrive in a home with another dirty companion. He is also cat friendly and can be found playing with the cat in his foster home.
Ricky is toilet trained - he has recently learnt to use a doggy door to take himself outside which he is most proud of.
Ugly Ricky is in foster care in Charlestown NSW (Lake Macquarie South of Newcastle). He is not available for interstate adoptions.
If you think you can offer Ricky a loving home then please complete the adoption questionnaire and email it to Ricky's foster carer at dogrescuelaura@gmail.com. If you have any further questions please email his foster carer or contact her on 0421 848 222. Ricky's adoption fee is $500, this includes his worm & flea treatment, vaccinations, desexing and a lifetime registration
Medical notes
Healthy and unbelievably cute
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
