About Georgie ~ maltese on trial 9/01/16
Georgie is a 7 year old, female Maltese mix who is looking for her forever home. She is only tiny, weighing in at just under 5kgs. She is a sweet little thing, who loved cuddles and affection. She craves human company and is never far away from you.
Georgie has shown no interest in toys, but she loves to go for a walk. She is an active little dog who walks really well in the lead. She can be wary of meeting new people and dogs, but it doesn't take her long to get used to them.
She is housetrained and sleeps in a confined area of a night time. She also travels well in the car.
She has recently had to have most of her teeth removed, so her diet consists of soft food. She loves her food, especially vegetables.
She is currently living with two other dogs, so she is content through the day while I am at work. If she was going to be an only dog, she would need to go to a home where someone is home with her most of the day.
If you have any questions or or would like to meet Georgie, please email sarahmckay@hotmail.com during business hours or ring/text 0447 956 923 after hours. Georgie is in foster care in Cessnock, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Georgie's adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
