About Cali ~ Beagle x Foxhound on trial 5/01/16
Meet Cali, a beautiful 3 year old Beagle x Foxhound. Cali is a big playful goofball who absolutely LOVES everyone at first sight. The secret to becoming her best friend? Belly rubs! Give this girl a belly rub and she's yours forever. In fact when you stop she puts her paw on you to ask for more.
Right now Cali is a tiny bit on the chubby side (don't tell her I said that) but it's an easy fix with diet and exercise, which is perfect because she can't contain her excitement at the mention of the "W-A-L-K" word! She is working on not pulling on the lead and improving every day.
Cali would be best suited to a home with other playful dogs as she is currently in care with 3 others and loves a good wrestle with them. She has the Beagle temperament that is so popular as a family dog but may not be suitable for small children that she could bowl over with love and kisses!
Being an inside/outside dog would be ideal, she is house trained, knows basic commands such as "sit" and "stay" but more importantly is a professional snuggler.
This girl has been well loved as you can tell by her abundance of affection, gentle nature and signature goofy smile- once you see it you can't help but fall in love.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
