About Marley ~ Mastiff X ~ Puppy (On Trial 25/1/16)
Introducing Marley, a 12-week-old female suspected Mastiff x who is guaranteed to melt your heart. Marley, like Bob Marley (the inspiration that came for her name) is relaxed, laid back and just wants love from her human and doggy counterparts.
Marley boasts a beautiful ginger brindle coat with bright green eyes and dainty white socks to match. She has a short, maintainable coat.
One of Marley’s favourite things to do is play with her brother (Hendrix). They enjoy sharing toys and are often seen carting around their giant teddy bear through the backyard. Marley also enjoys chewing on brisket bones, digging up the yard (when her foster Mum isn’t looking), playing with her other foster brother and sisters (who tower over her) and retreating to her bed for a cuddle with Hendrix.
Marley has bonded incredibly well with her brother and it is felt that Marley should go to a home where she has another doggy friend to keep her company. For this reason, applications will be considered for both Hendrix and Marley to go to a forever home together as they have such a wonderful bond, that is, if you don’t already have a fur friend.
As Marley will grow up to be a large dog she will need 5-6ft colourbond fences and will not be considered to go to a home with rural style fencing. As she is also in a rapid stage of learning and development puppy pre-school is definitely recommended to help her learn to socialize and to create the best possible bond between her and her new parents.
Marley is taking steps in training and is slowly learning to come when her name is called, to sit and to also go to the toilet on the grass, however she will still need toilet training continued in her new home. As she is only a young puppy, Marley will need to go to a home where someone is home for the majority of the day or where there is another dog for company. She will also need a home where she can be welcome inside also, as a member of the family.
As Marley is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when she's 4 or 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Marley, please contact Angela on 0403 053 626 or email Kelly - kellyhandsaker@gmail.com. Marley is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW.
Marley's adoption fee is only $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
