About Daphne
Hello my name is Daphne I am a 12 year old Cocker Spaniel X. Don’t be fooled by my age, I will still act like a puppy.
I came to Gar with a lot of mammary tumors, but thank goodness they have all been removed, I have very little sight in my left eye and no sight in my right eye but that does not stop me enjoying my life with my foster mum and her four children. I love to greet other dogs on my walks and did enjoy having another foster dog here but sometimes she would jump on me and because I couldn’t see well I did get a little scared.
I walk very well on my harness but sometimes you have to tell me a few times to sit as I’m still learning my name. However if I don’t have distractions of the outside world I will sit when you tell me too.
I am an outside dog but love to come in at night and have a pat and cuddle, also I love treats and the little humans always sneak me extra ones. Due to my eyesight I cannot fetch but I love running around with the little humans and my favourite is when they bath me and brush me.
I am looking for a forever home where I am your pride and joy and you have time to walk me every day and keep up with my grooming, I would love if you had little humans but if you don’t I will still love you just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read all about me and I hope you can help me find the perfect home.

Medical notes
I am desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations, flea & worm treatments.
Daphne has little eye sight left. This does not affect her ability to enjoy life and is taking it in her stride. Her dead eye has been assessed by the vet and there is no need to remove the eye.
She is prone to mammory lumps as she was not desexed at a younger age. Her mammory tissue has been stripped from her right side, but it was too much for her body to go through the left, so individual lumps were removed instead. They are not cancerous. There is a chance she may develop more.
