About Katie
**We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.**
Katie is a big, loveable house dog whose favourite pastime is simply lazing around all day! She seems to think she's a cat, as she just wants to be near you on the couch if possible! Because of her size and breed mix, two walks a day will keep her happy and healthy.
MY IDEAL HOME: My ideal home would have someone home most of the day to give me as many hugs and belly rubs as we can fit in. I'm also very good when left to my own devices - but when you come home, expect me to be stuck to your side for a while 'cos I missed you so much!
You might think a big dog like me would need to live on a farm or somewhere with lots of open space, but in fact I am super happy in a smaller area, as long as it is a nice and comfy place to laze about in.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I have a low energy level for 99% of the day, but I must admit a weakness for ball chasing. I'll run and retrieve for as long as you're willing to play. :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm fine with little people, but I haven't yet encountered kids of toddler age or younger.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I tend to be a bit stand-offish with other dogs, but I don't show any aggression. My foster dad thinks this will be easily improved with more socialisation and gentle guidance as I'm a very smart girl.
Unfortunately a home with resident cats or other small animals isn't going to suit me.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at http://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry/. Please use this link rather than the 'find out more' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
